This Friday, Nexus will host a a short talk by member Chris Jagger, aimed at raising some of the key facts pertaining to irregular migration, with a focus on the current situation in the Mediterranean. The talk will be followed by a facilitated audience discussion which will seek to identify and explore the various arguments and issues, and how they relate to Iceland. Chris will also summarize the findings of the round-table in a post-seminar report, which will be hosted on our website.

Since 1998, Chris has worked for the British Government, United Nations, NATO on matters pertaining to border security, terrorism and organised crime. In 2010 he was appointed as Director of the NATO Mediterranean Security Forum. He has published articles in his specialist field and has also written a chapter on training the intelligence community. He holds a Masters in Intelligence studies (Distinction) and is a member of the Oxford Intelligence Group at Nuffield College.
